YOUR COMMERCIAL ROOFTOP EQUIPMENT SERVICE EXPERTS

Serving Clients Across the Greater Hamilton, Stoney Creek, Niagara and Nearby Areas

Managing the climate control of a commercial building can be complex to say the least. From heating, cooling and air quality, purchasing units to sustain your building can be costly and frustrating. Instead, consider an all-in-one rooftop HVAC unit.

At BAM Mechanical, we recommend rooftop HVAC systems to our commercial clients for a variety of reasons, including the following:

  • Optimized energy efficiency and performance

  • Improved air quality

  • Flexible, space-saving configurations

  • Reduced noise pollution, thanks to the equipment installation location

  • Improved property appearance and equipment security— no unsightly HVAC units at ground level

  • Easy maintenance and accessibility on a single unit

Our Rooftop Heating and Cooling Installation Process

Once you’ve determined that a rooftop HVAC unit is the right solution for you and have ordered your ideal system, we’ll then determine the electrical requirements and necessary ductwork arrangement within your space and prepare for your one-day installation.

On the day of your installation, we will disconnect all existing equipment including the electrical, ductwork and gas piping, and remove the old equipment. If your existing equipment is located on your roof, we will use a crane to remove this equipment from your roof. As per Ozone Depletion Regulations, we will then secure and dispose of all old refrigerant safely.

Once complete, we’ll move your new HVAC unit to your rooftop with our crane and begin installing the new system. When the new unit is in place, we’ll reconnect (or reinstall as needed) all electrical wiring, ductwork and piping and begin the manufacturer’s suggested start up procedure. At the same time, we’ll check the HVAC system for gas leaks, check gas pressures and fully verify the operation of your system.

Keep Your Commercial HVAC Unit Running Like New

Now that your new HVAC unit has been installed, it’s important to develop a schedule for routine maintenance. Because rooftop units are outdoors, they’re inherently exposed to harsher conditions in comparison to an indoor HVAC system. Due to the increased wear and tear on the unit, your maintenance schedule should include seasonal service checks by a qualified technician only.
